The method involves changing gear ratio, and supplying power to a pair of wheels (W) via a planetary gear (P). Engine torque (Tc) is lowered to a particular value for a fraction of time during activation of a clutch. Pressure that is applied to a brake is decreased for a limited time duration, when the clutch is engaged. The brake is released before speed of a rotation body becomes zero. Engine and clutch torques are brought towards each other by a regulator for rpm difference between an engine (E) and an input shaft.
