COMPOSITION MANUFACTURING METHOD OF HIGH BARRIER RESIN USING MACHINE DEVICE FOR MXD-6 COMPOSED WITH NANO CLAY

A method for preparing a MXD-6 composition containing nanoclay dispersed therein is provided to obtain a nanoclay-dispersed MXD-6 composition that allows exfoliation of a silicate layer by using optimized mechanical conditions including drying, mixing, blend processing, screw structure, etc. The method for preparing a MXD-6 composition containing nanoclay dispersed therein comprises a step of blending 100 wt% of polyamide-based MXD-6 nylon with 0.5-10 wt% of a layered clay compound of montmorillonite to provide a master batch. In the step, MXD-6 is blended with the layered clay compound by using a counter-rotating tangential twin-screw extruder to provide the master batch. The counter-rotating tangential twin-screw extruder is controlled in terms of kneading block number and reverse block number to increase the dispersibility and oxygen barrier property.
