DRUM-TYPE MIXER FOR BULK FEEDS

FIELD: food-processing industry. ^ SUBSTANCE: drum-type mixer has rotating cylindrical housing and working tools mounted on housing internal longitudinal walls. Charging and discharge hoppers are disposed in close proximity to housing end walls. Working tools are made in the form of cantilevered blades and shovels which are arranged in annular rows. Each row consists of two blades and two shovels, which are positioned in diametrically opposite relation to one another. Length L of blades is 1/3 the inner diameter of housing. Width S of blades is 0.02-0.04 the inner diameter of housing. Inclination angle alpha of blades to axis of housing is determined by the ratio 2 deg < alpha < 8 deg. Mixer comprises discharge device made in the form of crescent buckets arranged in rows and oriented with their concavity toward direction of rotation of housing, truncated conical discharge spout and slide valve. Large base of discharge spout is directed toward discharge hopper. Conical spout is positioned at an angle beta > 45 deg to axis of housing. ^ EFFECT: improved quality of mixing bulk feeds. ^ 2 cl, 3 dwg
