The device has a tilting pedal (A) with a lever arm (E) having in its middle, a male part (G) tilting on a female part (K) of a ground support (S). The arm has in its end, a rod (V) to vertically push or pull fixed supports (P, P`) of a lavatory seat (D) and a lavatory lid (F) respectively. The arm pushes or pulls the rod that pushes or pulls the fixed supports, and opens or closes the seat and lid, when a user exerts a support on the pedal. The pedal and arm, ground and fixed supports, and rod are articulated around male or female axles, and are made of plastic material by injection molding.
