PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical switch in which dead space inside the body is made smaller and in which light attenuation on optical paths between collimate lenses is reduced. SOLUTION: An optical changeover device 3 is equipped with a lens holding base 34 for holding collimate lenses 35 each optically coupled to the end face of four optical fibers 4a-4d, wherein combination of optical paths between the optical fibers 4a-4d is selected by the advancing and retracting movements of a prism 31 relative to the lens holding base 34. The prism 31 is mechanically connected to a linearly movable armature 21 installed in an electromagnetic driver 2. The electromagnetic driver 2 and the optical changeover device 3 are arrayed in the moving direction of the armature 21 inside the body 1. The armature 21 and the prism 31 are mechanically connected to each other by a prism mounting plate. In the middle of the prism mounting plate, there is provided a curvature capable of adjusting a bending angle in a plane including the moving direction of the armature 21 and the direction connecting both magnetic pole strips 25a, 25b of an iron core 25.
