摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing process of a cellulose ester film useful in a liquid crystal image display device, which does not develop smudging, planarity deterioration, edge creasing or abrasion, affords satisfactory optical quality as well, and also is excellent in productivity. SOLUTION: The invention relates to a process for manufacturing a cellulose ester film of 20-85μm thickness by means of the solvent casting film forming method which comprises a step of forming a web by the flow casting of a cellulose ester solution on a flow casting support, a step of exfoliating the web from the flow casting support by a roller, and a step of carrying out the non-contact conveyance of the exfoliated web by supporting both edges from the time immediately after passing the roller. The manufacturing process of a cellulose ester film is characterized in that the conveying is carried out while applying a pressurized gas from a slit opening or an air blow opening of a punch plate to the air exposed surface of the web from the time immediately after passing an exfoliation roller, in the non-contact conveying step of the web.
