PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem, wherein the operational content of an operating button 32 is displayed as a mark 33 at a display section 31 when an apparatus at a different place is operated by means of a remote controller 3 equipped with the display section 31 through wireless communication, but when communication is not successful and a signal does not reach the apparatus, actual operating state of the apparatus does not match the operating state displayed at the display section 31. SOLUTION: Operating state displayed at the display section 31 is matched to the actual operating state of an apparatus by transmitting a signal indicative of the actual operating state periodically to a remote controller 3 from the apparatus side, and replacing the display content at the display section 31 by the actual operating state of the apparatus through the remote controller 3 upon receiving that signal.
