PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent rust preventative property from degrading by blanking in the manufacture of an article which is manufactured by taking a surface treated metallic sheet such as a galvanized steel sheet as a material. SOLUTION: The metallic sheet 1 of a base stock is blanked into a shape as the article 2 by a press apparatus. The press apparatus is provided with, for example, the first male dies 4 for forming internal holes 3, pilot pins 6 for positioning to be fit into the internal holes 3, a second male die 5 for blanking the external shape of the article 2 and female dies 7 for receiving them. Guide holes 14 into which the pilot pins 6 are fit among the female dies 7 are made to be bottomed and these guide holes 14 are previously charged with a surface treating agent 15. The surface treating agent 15 is stuck to the inner peripheral surface of the internal hole 3 through the pilot pin 6. Since rust preventive treatment is applied to end faces of the worked part in a press stage, the article excellent in the rust preventive property can be manufactured easily and inexpensively.
