PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw shape measuring method capable of measuring various characteristic values of the screw shape using a general three-dimensional measurement machine. SOLUTION: When the tapped hole shape is measured using the three-dimensional measurement machine, a contact section 136 of a cross stylus 135 is butted on a workpiece surface W1 around a tapped hole WH, and the cross stylus 135 is moved toward the center of the tapped hole WH in this butted state. When the contact section 136 reaches the opening SO of the tapped hole WH, the cross stylus 135 is lowered along the center axis of the tapped hole WH while the contact section 136 is butted on the screw shape WS, and the contour of the screw shape WS is copy-measured. When the copy-measurement is determined to finish, the cross stylus 135 is moved to the center side of the tapped hole WH and is pulled out. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
