A wheel cleaning apparatus for a large vehicle is provided to cut down expenses by simplifying structure, and to clean front and rear wheels promptly by detecting the position of the wheel in moving the vehicle and selectively injecting washing water or washing fluid under high pressure in turning a rotary head of a nozzle. A wheel cleaning apparatus includes a controller(2) electronically controlling electric components, a tank(3) storing washing fluid, a pump(4) supplying liquid from the tank under high pressure, a solenoid valve(5) connected to the pump to feed high pressure washing water to a nozzle(6) and controlled according to control signals from the controller, and the nozzle connected to the solenoid valve to inject high pressure washing fluid to a wheel of a vehicle. The nozzle includes a body connected to the solenoid valve, a rotary head turned and connected to the body and provided with an inclined injection hole, and a support cap thread-connected to a connecting shaft to turn the rotary head in the connecting shaft. The nozzle is connected to the solenoid valve by a branch pipe, and the diameter of the inclined injection hole of the nozzle is different from the diameter of the other inclined injection hole of the other nozzle.
