PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile coating film repairing method excellent in tight adhesiveness after deteriorated in water resistance without reducing a storage stablity. SOLUTION: A method for forming a multi-layer coating film comprises a process (1) of forming a primer surfacer coating film by coating a substrate with an aquatic primer surfacer and a process (2) of forming a top coating film by coating the primer surfacer coating film prepared in the process (1) with a top coating. The aquatic primer surfacer includes an acrilic resin water dispersion containing a primary hydroxide group and a hydratable functional group (a), a polyisocyanate compound water dispersion (b) and a pigment (c), and also a primary hydroxy group and a modified epoxy resin water dispersion (d) containing a secondary hydroxy group and a hydratable functional group.
