PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe material for ameliorating iron deficiency without side effects by increasing a serum ferritin value of a latently iron deficient person. SOLUTION: The oral composition or improver having activities for ameliorating latent iron deficiency contains a difructose anhydride. The composition has the activities for increasing the serum ferritin to the latently iron deficient person, and is safe and has no side effects.
