PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyol compound capable of providing a three-dimensionally crosslinked polyurethane having excellent mechanical characteristics when reacted with an isocyanate component; and to provide a polyurethane composition using the polyol compound. SOLUTION: The polyol compound has a mesogenic skeleton and three or more alcoholic hydroxy groups. Preferably, the polyol compound has two or more of the mesogenic skeletons.
