<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an occupant protection device for a vehicle constituted free to properly constrain an occupant by deploying an air bag in collision of the vehicle, and constrain the occupant by the air bag by making the air bag in a state of properly deployed even in second collision after the collision of the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: This occupant protection device estimates existence of the second collision after the collision of the vehicle in accordance with detection information from a front radar and a rear radar by a C/U 10 and controls inflators (first and second inflators) of an air bag device and an opening quantity adjusting mechanism (actuator) free to constrain the occupant by the air bag device in the second collision after the collision of the vehicle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
