PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floor mat for an automobile showing excellent slide-preventive properties, regardless of a napped state or a flat state of the surface of a floor carpet, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The floor mat 10 includes a surface layer 1, an intermediate layer 2, and a rear face layer 3 constituted of a resin layer 31 and a porous body layer 32. The resin layer 31 is formed by resin which is made into a fluidization state at the time of a prescribed temperature or more. The porous body layer 32 has pores capable of leaking the fluidization state resin. As the intermediate layer, a resin non-transmission layer is included. The rear face layer 3 has a plurality of main projection parts projecting from a flat part. In the flat part, the porous body layer 32 is exposed on the whole of the surface, and the resin layer 31 exists by being completely covered at the inside. The main projection parts have a plurality of small projection parts on the surface. In its manufacturing method, a sheet-like laminated body and a forming die are mutually overlapped, and the sheet-like laminated body is pressed in the fluidization state of resin in a forming resin layer to form the main projection parts and the small projection parts.
