The roof tile (2) has a top-open trough (8) in which is releasably held a solar cell board (4). In the opposite long sides (6) of the trough are located depressions (20) closed at both ends, for snap-action retention of resilient holding protrusions (14,16) of the solar cell board. Pref. each long side of the trough contains at least one depression, typically two of smaller elongation and spaced apart. The depressions may be in pairs in opposite configuration. Pref. the depressions are in the form of grooves for the solar cell board protrusions.
