PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and efficiently spread impervious structure when constructing impervious structure at an industrial waste disposal site. SOLUTION: In this laying method of an impervious sheet, a buffering grounding layer 3 consisting of nonwoven fabric abutting on the bottom face and peripheral face of a storage part 7 consisting of low stepped ground, a buffering layer 5 consisting of nonwoven fabric serving as a lined face of the storage part 7, and an impervious layer 4 consisting of a sheet material spread between the buffering grounding layer 3 and the buffering layer 5 are laminated by bonding opposing faces thereof by linear bonding and/or spot bonding; and at joint edges with other sheet element 2, non-bonding part not bonding each other to respective edges of the layers 3, 4, 5 are formed along the edges , to form the impervious sheet 1 consisting of the sheet element 2 formed in a long strip.
