An LCD is provided to spatially utilize a rear surface of a thin film transistor substrate, by forming penetration holes in the thin film transistor substrate and then electrically connecting the rear surface and a front surface of the thin film transistor substrate through the penetration holes. An LCD comprises an LCD panel assembly for displaying an image and a lamp assembly for supplying light to the LCD panel assembly. The LCD panel assembly includes a color filter substrate and a thin film transistor substrate(133) having an electric connection portion. The thin film transistor substrate has penetration holes(310,320,330). The electric connection portion is extended from a rear surface to a front surface in the thin film transistor substrate. |
