PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base isolation rubber supporting body capable of improving damping performance and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: This base isolation rubber supporting body 1 is composed of a rubber laminated body 4 constituted by laminating a plurality of rubber layers 2 and steel plates 3 alternately in the vertical direction, a high damping rubber body 5 arranged in a central part of the rubber laminated body 4, and supporting plates 6a, 6b fixed on upper and lower faces of the rubber laminated body 4. The high damping rubber body 5 arranged in the central part of the rubber laminated body 4 is incorporated into the base isolation rubber supporting body 1 while it is compressed in the vertical direction.
