METHOD FOR MEASURING THE WEIGHT OF A PLANT BODY

A simple method for non-destructively measuring the weight of a tree compris es measuring the capacitance of the root portion and the weight of the root portion, or t he entirety, of each of different plant species at different stages of growth in advance, and applyi ng the correlation to a measured value of capacitance of a particular plant body under investigation. The method allows the weight of the root portion or the total weight of the plant body to be non-destructively estimated.
