An electric resistance measuring device and method that do not require much time to measure resistance of a tire and guarantee performance of electric conductivity of the tire with sufficient measurement accuracy maintained. The electric resistance measuring device (10) for a tire has first and second probes (2, 3) for measuring the electric resistance of a tire (5). The first probes (2) are made to be in contact with portions on the outer circumferential surface of a tread (6), the second probe (3), a single unit, is made to be in contact with the periphery of the center of the tire (5), and the electric resistance between the tread (6) and a bead (9) is measured.
