The invention relates to a cover (1) which is used to close a pot that is equipped with an internal radial peripheral rim. The inventive cover is equipped with at least two rotating cam (7)-equipped levers (2, 3) which are spring loaded (4) and which can move axially, as the levers (2, 3) are being rotated, through the co-operation of complementary surfaces (8; 10, 11, 12) that are borne respectively by the cover (1) and the cam lever (2, 3), in order to move from a closed cover (1) position in which the cam (7) rests underneath the rim of the pot to an open position in which the cam (7) is disengaged from the rim. The axial movement of the lever (2, 3) in the direction in which the cam (7) moves away from the cover (1) causes the spring (4) to compress. The cover is characterised in that the aforementioned complementary surfaces (8; 10, 11, 12) are formed such as to have at least one zone (8; 10) in which the spring (4) is biased less, corresponding to the open cover position (1), in order to prevent the premature wear of the spring (4). |
