Power consumption is reduced in a diversity receiver. The receiver (10) using diversity is composed of a condition judging circuit (26) for judging whether prescribed conditions are met or not, and a control circuit (28) for temporarily stopping diversity reception when the condition judging circuit judges that the prescribed conditions are met.
