The invention relates to an installation and method for filling, assembling and sealing capsules and to a support element and capsule suitable for one such installation. The inventive installation comprises: a conveyor (10) for conveying support elements (11) that are designed to support filled capsules (1) in a pre-determined position; several filling and assembly stations (12) which are attended by operators and which are used to fill and assemble capsules (1) from first and second shells (2, 3) and from articles and to position same on the conveyors (11); an automatic band-positioning unit (13) which is designed to position a sealing band (14) around each capsule (1) as the capsule is conveyed on the corresponding support (11) by the conveyor (10); a heating unit (15) which is used to heat-shrink the bands (14) on the capsules (1) as they are conveyed on the supports (11) by the conveyor (10); and an automatic discharge unit (16) which releases the filled, sealed capsules (1) from the supports (11) being carried along by the conveyor (10).
