APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DATA BROADCASTING SERVICE IN HOME NETWORK ENVIRONMENT

A data broadcasting service system in a home network environment and a data broadcasting service method using the same are provided to mix a graphic image and an audio/video stream from a data broadcasting receiver and to display the mixed data to a user. A broadcasting receiver(410) receives a data broadcasting signal. A home server(430) connects the broadcasting receiver and an information terminal(420) having a display function. An ACAP(Advanced Common Application Platform) manager(411) and an ACAP handler(421) for handling a data broadcasting signal are mounted to the broadcasting receiver and the information terminal. The ACAP manager receives the data broadcasting signal through a tuner, divides the signal into an A/V(Audio and Video) stream and application and transmits the divided A/V stream and application to the ACAP handler.
