摘要 A vehicular control device (20) includes a trim member (38) having a plurality of graphics for identifying a plurality of manual activation regions and a printed circuit board (48) having a plurality of proximity sensors (36). Each of the proximity sensors (36) generates an electromagnetic field within a respective manual activation region and is responsive to an object disposed in the respective activation region. The printed circuit board (48) is semi-translucent and includes a plurality of illumination elements (51) for illuminating light away from the printed circuit board (48). A back cover member (56) is adaptable to the trim member (38) for encasing the printed circuit board (48) therebetween. A sealing member (54) is disposed between the trim member (38) and the back cover member (56). The illuminating light from the illumination elements (51) is reflected toward the printed circuit board which receives and diffuses the light therethrough for backlighting the plurality of graphics (40). The sensors may be capacitive or piezo-electric. The control device may be used as a Keyless entry control device for a vehicle.
