A mobile communication terminal having a music performance device and a music performance method in the terminal are provided to allow a terminal user to simply perform various music for which the terminal user wishes through a key button input, a fingerprint input, or a terminal body motion by adding a fingerprint recognition function or an operation recognition function in the mobile communication terminal. When a music performance start is requested in a mobile communication terminal(S21), a terminal control unit converts a terminal mode into a music performance mode, and recognizes a key button operation or a fingerprint input(S22). The terminal control unit sets basic performance information corresponding to the key button operation or the fingerprint input, and starts a certain music performance through a melody processing unit(S23). The terminal control unit changes/adds performance information in real time according to the key button operation and the fingerprint input of a terminal user as soon as the music performance is started or controls volume or rhythm, and performs music performance in real time(S25).
