The crankset has a reversing lever (4) pivotably mounted between a clutch pedal support (1) and a reinforcement plate (2) of a clutch pedal (3) via an end, around an axle rivet. The support and plate are integrated to a hub of the pedal. Another end of the lever is connected in a non permanent manner to the pedal by a rocker pawl (6). The pawl suppresses the lever and pedal connection in case of a frontal impact on a motor vehicle, so that the pedal is retracted by its own weight towards the bottom of a toe-basement. The lever and pawl are blocked in translation between the support and plate.
