The method involves pasting entire or part of a side (5) of a support panel (2) by urea formaldehyde. A decoration sheet (7) is applied, by calandering, on the side. A safety block (12) is arranged between a surfacing unit of the panel and a machining and cutting unit (11) for delivering the panel in strips and/or slabs of flooring. A sound insulation material is applied on the lower side of the strips and/or slabs. An independent claim is also included for a strip or slab of flooring.
