PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document holder which prevents documents from becoming loose apart easily and certainly under a comparatively simpler structure and is manufactured without increasing manhour and manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: This document holder 1 has a face sheet 2 and a back sheet 3, with each lower side 5 adjacent to one folded edge side 4 obtained by folding one piece of a rectangular sheet material made of a pliable synthetic resin material in the center and doubling the halves of the sheet material. The back sheet 3 has a first nick 8 formed on the open edge side 6 so as to demarcate a first tongue piece 9 projecting from the edge side of the opposite closed side. A sheet 12 such as the document accommodated in the document holder is certainly stored and held by inserting the edge 12a of the sheet 12 into the clearance of the first tongue piece 9 from the first nick 8, and thereby it is prevented from coming off or falling.
