<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television receiver capable of avoiding a fact of continuing display of an entry menu of a password, without inviting unintended power interruption. <P>SOLUTION: The television receiver includes a receiving section for receiving a broadcast signal; and a control section for allowing the reception section for receiving the broadcast signal of a selected channel and a display section to display a program, on the basis of the broadcast signal; when the program is a viewing limited program (step 32), the control section allows the display section to display the entry menu of the password for releasing display limit of the viewing limited program (step 33); and when entry operation of the password is not executed within a specified time (step 38), the control section controls the receiving section to execute channel switching processing for receiving the broadcast signal of another channel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
