<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving orientation estimation device capable of suppressing increase in calculation load in an information processing mechanism in estimation of driving orientation using the information processing mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: The driving orientation estimation device for estimating the driving orientation using the information processing mechanism 100 comprises a driving operation quantity detection part detecting a possible driving operation quantity A<SB>CC</SB>changed by driving orientation; and a driving operation quantity correction part 97a correcting the detected driving operation quantity based on the traveling environment of a vehicle, and estimates the driving orientation using the information processing mechanism based on the corrected driving operation quantity. The traveling environment can include at least either of road gradient and road slipperiness. The driving operation quantity can include at least any one of accelerator opening, accelerator opening change quantity and brake operating force.
