PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a husking roll drive unit in a husking machine which does not require a large driving power, and can carry out a husking operation without changing a husking roll. SOLUTION: In the husking machine 1 where a first small-diameter pulley 16 and a first large diameter pulley 18 are installed respectively on a roll shaft 5 and a roll shaft 6 each attaching a husking roll so as to rotate a pair of the husking rolls in the inner direction at different rotational speed, and these pulleys and a drive pulley 12 are connected with a first endless belt 14, a second large-diameter pulley 17 and a second small-diameter pulley 19 are further installed respectively on the roll shaft 5 with the first small-diameter pulley 16 and the roll shaft 6 with the first large-diameter pulley 18, and these pulleys and a drive pulley 13 are connected with a second endless belt 15. The first and second pulleys on the roll shafts are rotatably pivoted to the roll shafts respectively.
