LIQUID-CRYSTAL TYPE TOOTH WHITENER

A liquid-crystal type of tooth whitener is provided to improve application convenience by maintaining fluidity before its application to teeth and enhance adherence to the teeth after its application by solidifying it with water such as saliva. The liquid-crystal type of tooth whitener comprises glycerol monooleate, polyol, peroxide, peroxide stabilizing agent and hydrophilic solvent, wherein the polyol has molecular weight of 8000 or less; the polyol is polyethylene glycol, polypropylene glycol, propylene glycol, glycerin, stearyl alcohol, xylitol, sorbitol or mannitol; the peroxide stabilizing agent is polyvinyl alcohol, poloxamer, polyvinyl pyrrolidone, polyvinyl pyrrolidone/vinyl acetate copolymer, hydroxypropyl cellulose, hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose, hydroxyethyl cellulose, hydroxypropylethyl cellulose, polyox, carboxymethyl cellulose, carboxypropyl cellulose, xanthan gum, carrageenan gum, alginate gum, karayan gum, arabic gum, gelatin, polyacrylic acid, carbopol, polyquaternium-11, polyquaternium-39 or polyalkylvinylether-maleic acid copolymer; the amount of glycerol monooleate is 25-90 wt.% based on the total weight of tooth whitener; the amount of polyol is 0.05-20 wt.% based on the total weight of tooth whitener; the amount of peroxide stabilizing agent is 3-40 wt.% based on the total weight of tooth whitener; the hydrophilic solvent is water or ethanol and its amount is 1-50 wt.% based on the total weight of tooth whitener.
