PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dibenzosilole derivative, a precursor compound thereof and a production method thereof. SOLUTION: The dibenzosilole derivative represented by formula 1 (wherein, R<SP>1</SP>to R<SP>10</SP>are each a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a halogenated alkyl group or an aryl group; n is 0 or 1; ring A has one of a benzocyclobuta-type structure, a benzo-type structure or a naphtha-type structure) is obtained by subjecting a benzocyclobutadihalobiphenyl derivative which is the precursor compound thereof to di-lithionation and/or di-Grignard-forming reaction, and further reacting the product with a silane compound having a leaving group.
