A vehicle light, especially a rear light or flasher light, in which the number of first reflector segments (3, 3', 5,7) are distributed over the reflector surface so that in the operating state of the lamp the light beams from the light source (1) are reflected in correspondence to a given light distribution, and the number of second reflector segments (9) allows that in the non-operating state of the lamp the external light incident in the reflector space corresponding to a given color effect is reflected outwards.
