PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide particles for a display medium in which uneveness strongly fixed to the surfaces of the particles can be obtained and to provide a panel for information display in which display defect can be eliminated by using the same. SOLUTION: In the panel for information display, the display medium is encapsulated between two substrates at least one of which is transparent, and the display medium is transferred by applying an electric field to the display medium to display information, wherein the particles for the display medium are generally spherical particles formed by polymerizing a particle raw material containing monomers, and wherein the particle raw material contains a copolymer of an (acrylic and methacrylic) resin-a hydrocarbon system resin or a copolymer of an (acrylic and methacrylic) resin-an (acrylic and methacrylic) resin having a hydrocarbon or a hydro fluorocarbon in their side chain, and wherein a part or all of the monomers are polyfunctional monomers having a plurality of polymerization reaction groups in one molecule, and the particles formed by polymerizing the particle raw material have≤20% residue on sieve and minute uneveness of 5 to 150 m<SP>2</SP>/g BET specific surface area on the surfaces thereof.
