<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To largely set the area of a power generation part for generating power, to provide a prism for guiding light efficiently, and to set the position of a cover glass of a dial similarly to an ordinary timepiece, in an electronic timepiece wherein a belt-like solar cell is disposed in a ring shape along the inner wall of an outer cylinder. <P>SOLUTION: This electronic timepiece with a solar cell having the outer cylinder 2 wherein an external operation member 4 is mounted on the side face, the cover glass 1 fixed to the upper surface of the outer cylinder 2, and the solar cell 8 wherein the power generation part 82 is formed on the surface of a belt-like substrate 81 having short sides and long sides, wherein the short sides of the power generation part 82 are disposed vertically to the surface of a time display member 5, has characteristics wherein one side of the long sides of the power generation part 82 is elongated to the periphery of the upper end face of the external operation member 4 under the time display member 5, and the other side of the long sides of the power generation part 82 is positioned near the cover glass 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
