A vacuum cleaner with an air injector is provided to remove foreign matters from a carpet easily by compressing clean air and injecting compressed air through a head for scattering foreign maters from the carpet, and to cut down manufacturing cost by compressing and injecting air with rotational force of a fan motor. A vacuum cleaner includes a body(100) for generating suction force by rotating a fan motor(150) in applying power, a head(200) for sucking foreign matters by moving into a floor, a hose(300) for communicating the head with the body, a dust collecting unit(400) for collecting foreign matters from the head, and an air injector(500) for compressing air purified by the dust collecting unit and selectively injecting the compressed air through the head. The air injector comprises a compressor(510) for sucking and compressing air from the fan motor, a force transmitting unit(520) for transmitting rotational force from the fan motor to the compressor, a tank(530) for storing the compressed air from the compressor, an injection passage(540) for guiding the compressed air from the tank to the head, and an injection unit(550) communicated with the injection passage to inject the compressed air from the injection passage to a cleaned surface.
