METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SUPPORTING CONSISTENCY OF ROUTING TABLE'S DATA IN WIRELESS NETWORK

A method and an apparatus capable of supporting consistency of routing table information in a wireless network are provided to supporting the consistency of the routing table information, which are necessary for establishing transmission paths in a wireless mesh environment, by collecting station information, by classifying the information into blocks, by generating a checksum for the classified information, and by transmitting the checksum, thereby improving efficiency and consistency when transmitting the information composing the routing table through the wireless network. A method for supporting consistency of routing table information in a wireless network comprises the following steps of: collecting information about plural stations associated with a mesh access point(S102); classifying the collected information into blocks; generating a checksum for information classified into the blocks; and transmitting the checksum(S122). The station information includes MAC(Media Access Control) addresses of the stations and sequence numbers of the stations. The checksum is a result obtained through a hash function or a hash table.
