A steel curtain wall system is provided to increase durability by forming a vertical frame and a horizontal frame using steel, to improve assemblability by coupling supporting members to supporting members, to improve airtightness by inserting backup materials in the space formed by a vertical frame, a horizontal frame and sealed insulating glass, an adaptor and sealed insulating glass, and a pressure plate and sealed insulating glass triply and applying sealant, and to increase structural durability by preventing interlayer displacement using a horizontal structural member. A steel curtain wall system contains a vertical frame(10) fixed to upper and lower slabs and provided with supporting holes to fix a horizontal frame, and a horizontal frame(20) inserted to the right and left sides of the vertical frame using supporting members(21). Hereon the vertical frame and the horizontal frame are coupled with an adaptor(40) having a screw hole to fix a supporter(41) having a projection and a pressure plate(42) is fixed on the front of the supporter using a fixture(43) and attached with an aluminum cover(44), sealed insulating glass(30) is installed between the vertical frame and the pressure plate and equipped with space bars(31) sealed up with sealant(S), a gap formed in the vertical frame is closed up by inserting backup materials(B) triply, and a horizontal structural member is composed of an upper frame and a lower frame and placed on the lowermost horizontal unit to absorb interlayer displacement of the horizontal structural member.
