A system and a method for curing malicious codes and viruses are provided to remove user inconvenience for rebooting a computer by searching and removing the viruses and the malicious codes before user login, and improve user satisfaction by shortening a resource and program activation time of the computer, as the viruses and the malicious codes are cancelled or removed before execution. An OS(Operating System)(210) is executed after a terminal receiving power is booted. An input part(140) inputs a signal for controlling booting and the OS. The OS executes a vaccine program for curing the malicious codes/viruses before logon based on user information. The OS includes a vaccine preprocessor(220), and a user information processor(230) processing the user information inputted from the input part and entire user information related to the user information. The vaccine preprocessor includes a process assigner obtaining a process handling right from the OS and a vaccine program executor executing the vaccine program by receiving the process handling right from the process assigner.
