A hinge having a rotary position recognition function and a mobile communication terminal having the same are provided to recognize a rotary position of a display unit and to reduce an error operation or a position deviation by mounting the hinge in the mobile communication terminal. A rotary shaft(110) is penetrated and located in a longitudinal direction of a housing(120) of a cylinder structure. A ring-shaped terminal is formed in a rotary position recognizing part(141) so that one side end of the rotary shaft(110) is penetrated, and one or more terminals are disposed as a radial shape in the circumference of the ring-shaped terminal. A brush(160) is fixed to the one side end of the rotary shaft(110). The brush(160) is rotated in a state in which it is adjacent to the ring-shaped terminal, and a part of the brush(160) is rotated through the terminals disposed as the radial shape. Terminals connected with the terminals of the rotary position recognizing part(141) are fixed to an external side of the housing(120) in a signal transmitting part(151).
