<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an occupant crash protection device for a vehicle capable of preventing excessive forward movement of the occupant and excessive increase of a load applied on the occupant regardless of a collision form, properly constraining the occupant and effectively absorbing impact energy of the occupant by setting timing to reduce the constraining force to regulate by a constraining force regulating part in accordance with the collision form in case of head-on collision of the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The constraining force is reduced so that the constraining force of more than a specified value by a seat belt device 5 and an airbag device 6 by a seat belt constraining force reduction means 49 and an airbag constraint reduction means 59 in vehicle collision and the timing to reduce the constraining force is set in proper timing in accordance with offset degrees by determining the offset degrees in this case on the occupant crash protection device PE for the vehicle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
