PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcasting receiver easily used by a user. SOLUTION: The broadcasting receiver 1 comprises: an area channel information storage means 13 for storing a correspondence relation between a channel number in an area and a broadcasting station; a user channel information storage means 14 for storing a correspondence relation between a channel number which is manually set and the broadcasting station; and a setting means (control means) for setting the channel number for tuning based on area channel information stored in the area channel information storage means 13 and user channel information which is stored in the user channel information storage means 14.
