<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling bearing having lower torque and low temperature rise property as well as long-lasting durability. <P>SOLUTION: The rolling bearing comprises an inner ring 12 having an inner ring raceway 12a on the outer peripheral face, an outer ring 14 having an outer ring raceway 14a on the inner peripheral face, a plurality of rolling elements 16 rollingly arranged between the inner ring raceway surface 12a and the outer ring raceway surface 14a, and a cage 18 for holding the rolling elements 16. A dimple is formed in at least one of the base material surface layers of any members of the inner ring 12, the outer ring 14, the rolling elements 16 and the cage 18. The dimple has a depth of 0.01-5 μm and the area of 75% or more of the surface layer in which the dimple is formed is covered with a solid lubricant. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
