<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wind power generating system which is suitable for characteristics of climate and wind in Japan, or highly efficient and stable even when the direction and the intensity of a wind are frequently changed, by materializing technology for effectively utilizing the whole of the unstable energy source since wind in Japan is an unstable energy source which is exceedingly variable, wherein the windmill for wind power generation is provided with a device added to conventional models to accumulate wind power energy and operated in response to wind power. <P>SOLUTION: The horizontal shaft/vertical shaft type small windmill has two blades whose lengths are varied in response to the power of wind. When wind is weak, power is generated with a high efficiency while keeping the blade length maximized. When wind is strong, the length of the blade is shortened due to drag of wind so that excessive moment load can be prevented. The pitch of the blade varies its length in response to the power of wind so as to acquire stable high efficiency. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
