<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To complete network setting that can achieve higher power saving effect with simple operation of selecting a recovery condition of a power saving mode associated with the network setting. <P>SOLUTION: When no request is made within a certain period in a network device, different recovery conditions, associated with a protocol type to be different in power saving effect from each other, are displayed on an operation panel 109. A user selects a desirable recovery condition from the displayed different recovery conditions. In this case, the recovery condition is set and stored in a memory 107A within a network I/F control section 107.
