PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical low-pass filter with improved moisture resistance even when an optical low-pass filter formed by sticking a retardation film with pressure-sensitive adhesives is used. SOLUTION: The retardation film 10 made of a high polymer film as a 1/4-wavelength plate is stuck between crystal plates 2 and 3 as birefringent plates together with pressure-sensitive adhesives 4 and 5, and a sealing portion 20 is provided over a region including at least the entire external peripheral border 4a of a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 4, the entire external peripheral border 5a of a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 5, and the entire external peripheral border 10a of the retardation film 10. The sealing portion 20 can comprise a physical filming layer, a chemical filming layer, a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape, and a resin composition. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
