摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical component that is inexpensive, ensures high image quality and has high reliability. SOLUTION: The optical component (11) has a first member (2) and a second member (1) made of a glass, and the opposite faces (1a) and (2a) of both the members are joined with a photo-curable adhesive (3). Manufacturing the optical component (11) includes: an applying step in which the adhesive is applied to an area between the opposite faces of both the members disposed with a predetermined amount of gap d left between them; and a curing step in which the adhesive applied there is cured with light emitted from a predetermined direction (DR). The elastic modulus of the adhesive cured by the emission of light with a wavelength of 365 nm and an illuminance of 10 to 100 mW/cm<SP>2</SP>is 3.5×10<SP>9</SP>to 9.7×10<SP>9</SP>Pa in the case where a cumulative quantity of light is 100 to 1,000 mJ/cm<SP>2</SP>, and 4.1×10<SP>9</SP>to 1.2×10<SP>10</SP>Pa in the case where a cumulative quantity of light is 3,000 to 6,000 mJ/cm<SP>2</SP>. In the applying step, the amount of gap d is in the range of 38 to 87μm. In the curing step, light is emitted in the direction in which it passes through the second member.
